Scandinavian Interior Design really came about in the 1930’s stemming from old and new styles from Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, and Norway. This design style is the perfect blend of minimalism and comfort. Scandinavian Interior Design includes a lot of natural color palettes and elements. 

How is Scandinavian Interior Design Similar to Mountain Modern Style?

Scandinavian Interior Design and Mountain Modern Style are similar with the natural elements that it incorporates into the homes. You’re going to see a lot of woods in both homes, neutral colors, and cozy elements bringing in the different textures.

What is the difference between Mountain Modern and Scandinavian Interior Design?

Scandinavian Interior Design is going to be a lot more minimal than Mountain Modern. Scandinavian Interior Design is going to lean into more white/off-white colors with a pop of color. Mountain Modern will be in the neutral wheelhouse, but you’re more likely to find other colors that will also warm up the space.
